This weekend was the wedding of our babysitter, Miranda. We were so honored to be a part of the special weekend. Anna was the flower girl and Layne the ring bearer. This is a picture of us before the rehearsal dinner Friday night.
On Saturday morning, Anna was invited to the pedicure party with the bridesmaids. She asked Miranda if she could have her fingernails painted because "you can't see my toes in my shoes". So...she got a manicure. She picked out the brightest pink the salon had in stock. Later in the afternoon, I took Anna to get her hair cut and styled. She got the full treatment of being pampered on Saturday!!
Aren't they cute?? The wedding was held at a museum downtown. The ceremony was in the courtyard. It was beautiful!
We brought Layne several NASCAR cars to play with while we were waiting between pictures and the ceremony. When Layne first saw Miranda in her dress, he said, "Miss Miranda looks beautiful". Isn't that sweet?!?
Here's the kids performing their respective "duties". Anna had asked earlier if she also threw the rose petals on her way back down the aisle after the ceremony. I had told her that you only throw them once and her basket would probably be empty after she got down the aisle. Well, she is walking toward the front and when she gets to the front row of chairs, she realizes she still has more rose petals in her basket. So, she just turns the basket upside down and pours the rest out. Everyone that saw it got a little chuckle out of that one!.jpg)

Here's a few shots of the ceremony and the wedding party. We had such a fun time this weekend and made some new friends. We wish Miranda and Travis the best! Oh, they are on their honeymoon right now in Jamaica. The same place where Ken and I spent our 10 year anniversary.
