Layne's 4th birthday party

Layne's birthday party was on Saturday; it was actually a double party. His best friend from preschool, Jackson, his birthday is Dec. 28. Layne's is Dec. 30. I spoke with his mom about a double party and she was thrilled. Both boys love the movie "CARS", so that was our theme.


We had it at the Gymnastics Sports Center. It is a very popular place here for birthday parties. The kids love to jump, swing, and play. They get to have free play for one hour, then we have 30 minutes for cake. Jana (Jackson's mom) and I decided not to open gifts at the party. We were already rushed for time and with two boys we didn't want it to get too wild. :) So, when we got home, Layne opened his gifts. He got so many neat things. Thanks everyone for coming and making it special for Layne (especially since its during the holidays).

The CARS cake-I had Wal-Mart put 2 Lightning McQueens on it. One for each boy. You can't tell from the picture, but they were pretty big cars. Not just the matchbox kind. They were definitely a hit with Layne & Jackson.
